Food is often related to the culture and geographical factors. For example, meat is common food in North America, Australia and Europe. But most people in India are vegetarians. In modern era, vegetarian population has increased all around the world due to the health benefits.

Vegetarian or Vegan?




What is vegan? What is vegetarian? Why would we want to pursue one of these paths? For some reason, which I think had to do both with health and spiritual views, I opted to become vegetarian at about age eighteen. By the time I was twenty-two I had become vegan, leaning towards raw foods. The years that ensued carried me through many versions of these lifestyle paths; always at least 50% raw, often more; sometimes vegan (no animal products) and sometimes vegetarian (consuming some eggs and dairy - preferably organic).
